Sha’Carri Richardson’s last place finish in the 100-meter race fueled dozens of trolls who took the opportunity to laugh at the runner's shortcoming. Richardson, who had the support of many people after she was suspended from the Olympics due to marijuana use, is now getting a different response from folks who seemed to jump on the opportunity to mock the athlete.

The athlete's loyal fans, however, are calling out the trolls who shifted their stance after her performance at the Prefontaine Classic on Saturday in Eugene, Oregon

Some media outlets jumped on the opportunity to take shots at the sprinter.

As the media continued to capitalize on Richardson's disappointing result, dozens of social media users used platforms such as Facebook to respond with laugh reacts.

While the slander escalated throughout the day, others still hailed the 21-year-old as a Black queen.

Richardson didn't show any lack of confidence when she was interviewed after the race.

“This is one race. I’m not done. Count me out if you want to," she told the world. "Talk all the s**t you want to! You know what I can do!"

The sprinter's supporters loved the undeterred confidence.

While Richardson appears to be poised for a strong comeback, her fans are also eager to see what she got in store for the future.

The fire within the runner is apparently still strong despite the last place finish.

For now, the runner will let her critics have their moment.

Still, the Texas native continued to speak passionately during another interview after the race. She expressed how grateful she is to be back on the track and apologized for using profanity during the earlier interview.

"I apologize for my language, but I'm a warrior. My passion will always come out for my love, for what it is I put my blood, sweat, tears and sacrifice into," the track star said.

Richardson added gratitude for her supporters.

"I'm thankful for the support and I'll continue to be thankful," she said. "When I go back into training, my support system, down to the fans, my family, my coach, I represent you guys. So don't take today as an L because we're not going anywhere."
