John Legend might be People's pick for "Sexiest Man Alive 2019," but Snoop Dogg's sharp wit reminds us why Tha Doggfather continues to be the sexiest OG.

Just three days after Legend was announced as No. 1 on People's annual ranking of attractive male celebrities, on Friday, November 15, the "Gin and Juice" rapper took to Instagram to share a creative interpretation of the upcoming "Sexiest Man Alive" issue with his over 36 million followers.

Satirizing the pop culture publication's traditional showcasing of the chosen "sexiest man" on the cover, Snoop is depicted in a similar layout while donning a dapper suit and presumably puffing a joint. In the place of the subhead advertising Legend as the "good guy who got it all,"  the hip-hop icon's featured cover story is hilariously titled "How a Crip Took Your Chick." The Instagram post is eloquently captioned with a simple message: "Thank. You ????????????."

According to HuffPost, neither party's camp has commented on Snoop's "attempt" to usurp Legend's position as this year's "Sexiest Man Alive."

It's unclear if Snoop designed the cover or it's fan art. 

However, the "All of Me" singer's history as a target for innocent, comedic trolling coupled with a seemingly down-to-earth personality suggests he has an excellent sense of humor. After all, Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen did beat Snoop to the punch(line), roasting her husband over the honor in a series of tweets shortly after People's big reveal.

Suffice to say, the "Sexiest Man Alive" is likely taking Snoop's lighthearted shade in stride.
