Lil Uzi Vert just recently celebrated their 27th trip around the sun, though a short video appeared to show them dealing with a bout of the birthday blues.

The clip appears to be from Lil Uzi’s birthday dinner, and various people — including their girlfriend, JT of City Girls — are shown singing “Happy Birthday” to the rapper.

While sitting through people singing you “Happy Birthday” is an awkward experience many have to endure each year, Lil Uzi Vert appeared to be particularly out of it and disgruntled during the celebratory occasion.

Notably, after the cameraperson instructs Lil Uzi to blow out their birthday candles, the rapper responds by asking “How?” in a bratty tone, showing that they really weren’t feeling it.

Once fans and haters alike began speaking on the video, Lil Uzi Vert chimed in through Twitter.

“Everytime I have a bday dinner I reflect on my past and it makes me sad I don’t know why it’s just like that hug I never had ….. i be so excited in my head but be scared 2 show it,” the rapper explained.

“Crazy man ….thank you for loving me for me y’all,” they continued. “Hate my bday lollll.”

While people were buzzing about the clip, it’s worth adding that this wasn’t the only takeaway from the “Sasuke” rapper’s 27th birthday.

JT commemorated her boo’s birthday with a heartfelt shoutout on social media, as Blavity previously reported.

“I love you Uzi I’m crying making this post because you are literally a dream come true! I feel like with everything I been through in life you are one of my greatest rewards! I wake up everyday to either your frown or smile…either works for me, as long as you’re right there. You are my best friend, my twin flame,” the “Jobs” rapper wrote.

She also spoiled Lil Uzi by gifting them a Maybach and motorcycle on the same night of their birthday dinner, which Lil Uzi warmly acknowledged on Twitter.

So, despite their glum appearance in the video, it’s safe to say that the rapper still had a great birthday.
