Before the Usher “Superstar” challenge where singers replicated his iconic run in the 2004 hit, a 16-year-old Keke Palmer effortlessly bodied the unforgettable intro. A clip of Palmer singing the intro to “Superstar” has resurfaced, and viewers can’t get over how talented the now 28-year-old is.

The Nope star explained that Usher does the “most beautiful thing” at the beginning of the song, before making an attempt.

“I probably won’t sound like him, but this is what he does,” she said in the clip.

Viewers couldn’t get over how she nailed the run, with many describing it as a reminder that Palmer can really sing.

“And then he did some other stuff” keke know she f**king bodied can she pls,” one viewer argued.

“Yesss let not sleep on Ms Palmer singing,” another added.

Many Twitter users remembered other standout vocal moments of the actress.

“Let’s also talk about how she slayed this note in ‘Zero to Hero’ from Hercules. Disney we need her to be cast as one of the muses,” one viewer wrote.

Or when she casually ate up this vocal note on her self titled mixtape. S/O @lawrencesmurrayon the cover art,” another wrote.

One user was shocked at her vocal talents.

“I never knew! I knew shawty had vocals but I ain’t never heard this. It’s rare! That note is not tried by many singers because they don’t have that range but it should be a note every singer should be able to hit. If they have been trained properly or has the talent,” they tweeted.

As Blavity previously reported, Palmer took to Instagram to address people comparing her to Zendaya.

“A great example of colorism is to believe I can be compared to anyone,” she wrote on Twitter. “I’m the youngest talk show host ever. The first Black woman to star in her own show on Nickelodeon, & the youngest & first Black Cinderella on broadway. I’m an incomparable talent. Baby, THIS, is Keke Palmer.”
