City Girls rapper JT is using her platform to help formerly incarcerated women. On Friday, the rapper announced the launch of her new website No Bars Reform, which provides services and support for women who were formerly imprisoned.

According to the initiative’s website, No Bars Reform is inspired by the 30-year-old’s time behind bars, Vibe reported.

“After spending almost two years in a Florida prison before being released in 2020, JT has vowed to use her voice and platform to help other incarcerated women rehabilitate into society,” a statement on the No Bars Reform website reads.

JT was arrested and charged with aggravated identity theft in 2018 and was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison. She was released two years later, in March 2020. To celebrate her impending release, the “Act Up” rapper released “JT First Day Out,” (a JT solo track, though it is credited to City Girls).

Along with No Bars Reform’s launch, the Miami native released a second solo track, “No Bars.” The song, which will be included in the duo’s third studio album, has already cracked the Top 5 on iTunes’ all-genre chart, according to Vibe. Plus, “No Bars” has topped iTunes’ Hip-Hop/Rap chart. BrizzyOnDaBeat & Noc produced the instant hit, in which JT boasts about her sexual prowess, among other things.

“Pay for this p***y, n***a, get yo’ bands up/ Oh, you ain’t trickin’, n***a? I’ma hit yo’ mans up/ Cold ass cocky b***h, fur in the summertime/ He gon’ keep the bills paid ’cause he know a b***h fine,” the 30-year-old emcee raps on the track.

The song’s music video is just as bold. In it, JT is featured dancing behind blue bars in matching hair and a hoodie. Clips of the rapper partying and meeting fans around the world are shown alongside her behind bars, ultimately showing what a sensation City Girls has become, Uproxx reported.

“I hope this freestyle finds you in a great place and is a start of the respect I deserve in music,” she said in a statement, according to Uproxx. “I love music! I love my voice! I love poppin my s**t.”

Even though JT is leaning into her solo offerings, City Girls is still dominating the charts this summer. The group dropped their latest hit, “I Need a Thug,” earlier this summer, Vibe reported. The summer anthem samples LL Cool J’s 1987 hit “I Need Love” and saw the Miami rappers proudly declare on Instagram that the song is a “rich young pretty b***h anthem!!!!”
