Breakups suck, but former lovers Big Sean and Jhené Aiko are showing fans it doesn't mean there has to be bad blood. The Detroit rapper released a new single Friday featuring his ex-girlfriend.

Titled "Single Again," the breakup anthem signifies the culmination of a relationship and the importance of living life on your own after a stretch of cohabitation. Ty Dolla $ign also lends his vocals to the song.

Tweeting about the message behind his latest release, the 31-year-old wrote: "I never knew that I didn’t know how to be alone in life. I always would find so much joy n happiness in a relationship or being with friends, but I didn’t know how important it was to be in a relationship with yourself."

The "Moves" rapper also sent some advice for those experiencing a similar situation.

From the looks of Twitter, fans are applauding the ironic, yet mature action by the former couple.

Sean and Aiko were in a relationship from 2016 to 2019 and previously collaborated on a studio album, Twenty88, released in 2016.
