Should Latto have censored herself during a recent conversation with a pint-sized reporter?

That’s the question on everyone’s mind following the re-circulation of an encounter between the “Big Energy” rapper and Taylen Biggs — an 8-year-old fashion critic and content creator who has been dubbed “Mini Wintour,” according to her website.

Biggs caught up with Latto at the 2022 Harper’s BAZAAR ICONS Party, which went down about three weeks ago, and asked her a few questions — including an inquiry regarding how the rapper would describe her personal style.

“I think I’m authentic. I think I give a modern, sexually liberated woman,” Latto tells the young reporter.

“You’ll learn about that later,” the 23-year-old adds.

While this TikTok was initially uploaded back on Sept. 12, a Twitter user recently caused it to gain traction by re-sharing the clip and critiquing Latto’s answer.

“Love Latto, but this wouldn’t have been my answer for a little girl,” the user wrote beneath the video.

The tweet soon began to pick up some steam, and others agreed that Latto’s wordage was unnecessary, given the fact that the reporter is only 8 years old.

Users took it a step further and proceeded to straight-up bash Latto and seemingly question her character.

On the other hand, people also attempted to shut the naysayers down by saying that Latto was being her authentic self and Biggs shouldn’t have been in that situation, to begin with.

Others tweeted that people were seriously overreacting.

However, many users shut this sentiment down and doubled down on their opinion that Latto was in the wrong and people are just trying to give her a pass.

We should also note that, aside from the discussion around the appropriateness of Latto’s comment, Twitter users also laughed about how lost Biggs appeared to be about what the rapper said.
